KOREAN / JAPANESE INTERPRETERS
Responsabilités:
- Act as interpreter for Korean or Japanese guests during interviews
- Assist in translating written interviews with French or English speaking journalists
- Act as interpreter for interviews on festival talkshow (may be on camera, may be live)
- Assist in translating pre-recorded interviews for festival talkshow and create subtitles
- Accompany to guests during their time off festival grounds (dinners, activities etc)
- Act as interpreter to facilitate interactions between guests and programmers or other staff
- May be required to attend events (screenings, red carpets, interviews, etc)
Minimum Requirements:
- Impeccable spoken Japanese AND English (French a strong asset) is required
OR - Impeccable spoken Korean AND English (French a strong asset) is required
- Ability to read Japanese AND/OR Korean AND English is an extremely strong asset
- Written Japanese AND/OR Korean AND English is an extremely strong asset
- Ability to adapt to a demanding work schedule (evenings, late nights, early mornings or week-ends) is a must
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
- Ability to engage easily with strangers and maintain a respectful and professional attitude
- Interest and knowledge of film, especially genre and Japanese or Korean cinema considered an asset
